California has some of the worst gun laws in the country. Anti-gun legislators in Sacramento continue to pound away at private gun ownership, self-defense and our cherished hunting traditions until they succeed in destroying the Second Amendment rights of all Californians.

However, you can help stop the onslaught against your rights. Working together, we can stop this relentless attack once and for all by sending a clear message that regulating and restricting our constitutional freedoms will no longer be tolerated.

It’s imperative you call and email your state lawmakers IMMEDIATELY and urge them to OPPOSE the following bills.

SENATE BILL 347 would add to the list of misdemeanors convictions that would result in a 10-year prohibition on the possession of firearms. These offenses include simply failing to comply with California’s overbearing firearm transfer restrictions.

SENATE BILL 707 would prohibit CCW holders and retired law enforcement officers from possessing firearms on any properties that make up the grounds of a K-12 school or university, including many parking lots, common areas that may not be readily identifiable as school grounds, and student apartment buildings.

ASSEMBLY BILL 96 would prohibit a person from purchasing, selling, offering for sale, possessing with intent to sell, or importing with intent to sell ivory or rhinoceros horn, except as specified, and would make this prohibition enforceable by the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Lawfully obtained ivory components are commonly found on many antique firearms.

ASSEMBLY BILL 1134 would allow sheriffs to make agreements with and delegate the processing of all carry license "CCW" applications to a police chief of a city within the county.

The 2015 California legislative session is in its final push to pass bills before it adjourns for the year. Now is the time for gun owners and sportsmen to make their voices heard!

There is one pro-gun bill working its way through the Legislature.

Assembly Bill 499 would authorize a person with a valid license to carry a firearm capable of being concealed on the person, consistent with the terms of that license, while engaged in the taking of deer with bow and arrow.
