Your NRA-ILA has learned that Minority Leader Jim Ward is expected to use a procedural move tomorrow to bring up an unrelated bill and amend it on the House floor. This amendment would seek to ban the full implementation of the Public Building Security Act before it is set to go into effect on July 1st. Please contact your state Representative immediately and strongly urge them to oppose any such amendment.
Representative Ward’s amendment will attempt to prevent the lawful carry of a firearm for self-defense and should be opposed. Again, please contact your state Representative and urge them to OPPOSE Representative Ward’s anti-gun amendment or any attempt to make it unlawful for individuals to carry a firearm for self-defense.
