Over the past few years, NRA-ILA members and the NRA have decidedly changed politics in America. Across the country, from the presidential race to Congress to state legislative races, there has been a noted increase in ads proudly proclaiming candidates' pro-gun credentials.
In the 2016 and 2020 elections, NRA resources were widely deployed in more critical battles than ever before. Millions of dollars were spent on direct campaign donations, independent campaign expenditures and on mobilizing the most aggressive grassroots operation in NRA history. Leading up to the 2022 elections, NRA-ILA will build on that grassroots organization with continued programs to effectively communicate with NRA members and others.
The NRA Political Victory Fund, which ranks political candidates irrespective of party affiliation, is involved in hundreds of campaigns for the U.S. House and Senate in each election cycle. NRA-PVF also endorses thousands of candidates running in state legislative races.
The bottom line when it comes to elections is simple: when provided with the facts, the nation’s elected officials usually recognize that "gun control" schemes are an infringement on the Second Amendment and a proven failure in fighting crime. The importance of this premise lies in the knowledge that, as one U.S. Congressman put it: "The gun lobby is people."

NRA-ILA FrontLines is comprised of NRA-ILA's most dedicated volunteers, who work vigorously at the local, state, and federal levels to defend our Second Amendment rights. Your FAL is a local NRA member who has volunteered to act as the liaison between NRA members and gun owners and various pro-gun campaigns seeking volunteer support. Your EVC also works with local Second Amendment supporters to promote NRA-ILA's legislative agenda.
Established in 1975, the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the "lobbying" arm of the National Rifle Association of America.
