Next week, Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) will kick off his campaign tour of the state, beginning in his hometown of Paint Creek and followed by a stop at his alma mater in College Station.
This year, Governor Perry signed legislation to protect shooting range facilities in the State of Texas from frivolous nuisance lawsuits aimed at shutting them down. He also signed a bill to require elementary school resource officers to teach NRA`s life-saving Eddie Eagle GunSafe program to kids at least once during the school year.
Please try and attend one of the events scheduled in your area -- be sure to wear something appropriate which identifies you as an NRA member or a pro-Second Amendment supporter. Thank Governor Perry for his past support and encourage him to continue reaching out to gun owners and sportsmen throughout his upcoming campaign.
