You are urged to attend the Omaha City Council meeting today, at 2:00 PM, which will be held in the Legislative Chambers of City Hall at 1819 Farnam Street. It is critical that the law-abiding citizens of Omaha attend this meeting to show strong opposition to this measure! Again, the hearing on the proposed ordinance, which if passed, will grant the chief of police sole authority to approve or reject a concealable firearm permit, will take place today at 2 pm. In the Legislative Chambers of City Hall.

The Omaha City Council has proposed an ordinance that would grant authority to the chief of police to deny a conceable firearm permit based on any reason whatsoever. If passed into law, this ordinance would place the fate of YOUR ability to own a conceable firearm in the hands of the chief of police- and would allow the permit to be denied for ANY reason! This proposed ordinance is set to be heard by the council today, Tuesday, March 19, 2002.
