NRA-PVF Endorses Congressman Jim GibbonsFor Governor of Nevada

Thursday, September 28, 2006

Fairfax, VA—The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is pleased to endorse Congressman Jim Gibbons (R-2) for Governor of Nevada.

“The NRA is synonymous with defending the freedom of law-abiding Americans,” said Chris W. Cox, Chairman of NRA – PVF. “That is why we are pleased to endorse Jim Gibbons for governor, because of his longstanding, proven commitment to the Second Amendment. We know he will protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners in Nevada.”

Jim Gibbons has served Nevada citizens both in the state house and in Congress. Throughout his tenure in public service, Gibbons has been a trustworthy leader on matters affecting the pro-gun community. As a Congressman representing Nevada’s second congressional district, Jim Gibbons voted to put an end to the gun control lobby’s predatory attacks on the American firearms industry, secured funding for the world class Clark County Shooting Park, supported the NRA-backed Veterans Heritage Firearms Act of 2005 and consistently defended our hunting heritage.

Congressman Gibbons’ strong, pro-gun voting record has earned him an “A+” rating and endorsement by NRA-PVF.

“It’s up to gun owners to vote for freedom on November 7th,” stated Cox. “Congressman Jim Gibbons is a great friend of law-abiding gun owners, and if elected Governor of Nevada, Jim Gibbons will continue to stand for gun owners and the Second Amendment.”
