This week, the House Business & Industry Committee reported out NRA-backed legislation, House Bill 588, sponsored by Representative John Heaton (D-55), which would allow Concealed Handgun Licensees to protect themselves in establishments that sell alcohol for off-premises consumption. The bill now moves to the House Judiciary Committee for consideration.
The House Judiciary Committee will also consider Senate Bill 111, sponsored by Senator Stuart Ingle (R-27), the Senate companion bill to HB 588.
Please contact members of the House Judiciary Committee and urge them to support HB 588 & SB 111.
