Earlier this week, Governor Tim Kaine (D) signed House Bill 2106, sponsored by Delegate Carrico, into law. HB2106 repeals the authority for localities to require fingerprints for initial concealed carry permit applicants.

- House Bill 2653, sponsored by State Delegate Scott Lingamfelter (R-31), would prohibit gun dealer entrapment schemes, such as those orchestrated by NYC Mayor Bloomberg; and
- House Bill 2308, also sponsored by Delegate Lingamfelter, provides that counties may adopt model hunting regulations as provided by the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries
