Anti-Gun Philadelphia City Council Members Sue State Legislature to Implement Anti-Gun Ordinances!
Friday, July 13, 2007
They are asking the Common Pleas Court to allow seven city gun-control ordinances to be implemented without approval from the legislature. Pennsylvania currently has statewide preemption, which eliminates problems for all gun owners who have been unduly burdened by local ordinances. If they win this lawsuit, it would be the first of many attacks on citizens' Second Amendment rights.
Please contact your State Senator at (717) 787-5920 and your State Representative at (717) 787-2372 and respectfully urge them to continue to oppose any gun control measures that would make Philadelphia gun owner’s second-class citizens.
