Numerous Anti-Gun Bills Proposed in the Empire State!

In the New York State Legislature, anti-gun lawmakers have wasted no time introducing a number of bills.  They include Assembly Bill 497, sponsored by State Assemblyman Sam Hoyt (D-144), which would study "safe and secure" storage methods for retailers, Assembly Bill 506, sponsored by State Assemblyman Brian Kavanagh (D-74), would initiate a "gun violence" prevention program in public schools carrying an anti-gun message to youngsters, Assembly Bill 555, sponsored by State Assemblyman Brian Kavanagh (D-74), would mandate storage methods for law-abiding gun owners, Assembly Bill 1326, sponsored by State Assemblyman Steve Englebright (D-04), would mandate handguns be equipped with technology which would prevent them from being operated by children, Assembly Bill 1093, sponsored by State Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-88), would impose new requirements on firearm retailers and require they obtain insurance to cover criminal acts committed after the legal sale of a firearm and  Assembly Bill 1536, sponsored by State Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-88), would ban the private transfer of firearms.

Also introduced were Senate Bill 66, introduced by State Senator John Sampson (D-19), which would institute renewable handgun licenses statewide and Senate Bill 118, sponsored by State Senator John Sampson (D-19), which would establish a training requirement and proof of need to defend against imminent injury or death for pistol license applicants.
