Two Anti-Gun Bills to be Heard Today in Virginia!

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

Please Contact the Members of the Senate Committee on Local Government!

Today, the Senate Committee on Local Government will consider two anti-gun bills, Senate Bill 832 and Senate Bill 1053.

SB832, introduced by State Senator Maime Locke (D-2), would ban firearms in any building owned or operated by a locality (such as a recreation center, administrative building, or public library) while any official governmental meetings are being held inside.

Authored by State Senator Mary Margaret Whipple (D-31), SB1053 would give localities the authority to outlaw firearms in any buildings or facilities used for governmental purposes.

Please contact the members of the Senate Committee on Local Government IMMEDIATELY and respectfully urge them to oppose these attacks on our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.  Contact information can be found below.
