A contractor scheduled to work on a home in Tacoma, Wash. arrived at the house around 11 a.m. to find a suspicious vehicle and items from the home in the driveway. The contractor called the homeowner, who told the contractor that no one should be at the home. As the homeowner alerted authorities, the contractor blocked the suspicious vehicle with his own. The burglar then came out of the house got into his vehicle and rammed the contractor’s. The contractor, a Right-to-Carry permit holder, retrieved a gun and fired at the criminal, striking him and causing him to flee. Police captured the burglar a few blocks away. The neighborhood has been host to a rash of recent burglaries. Police are investigating whether the wounded criminal may be linked to the other crimes.
