Virginia: Ordinance to Restrict Shooting Defeated in Sussex County!

Yesterday, the Sussex County Board of Supervisors defeated an unnecessary ordinance by a three to three vote (with four needed to pass) that could have restricted shooting ranges to the point of extinction.

Over the years, the county Board of Supervisors has consistently rejected similar proposals from the Planning Commission due to their negative impact on sportsmen, shooters and business in the county.  With this vote however there is now hope that this reoccurring issue will not be revisited.

The three county supervisors who voted against the ordinance were:
