Your action is needed to support critical gun bills
Next week will be busy in Denver, with numerous pro-gun bills scheduled for hearings in both state Senate and House committees, and we need your help!
A critical pro-gun bill which seeks to restore some of the rights that were stolen from you last session will be heard in the House State, Veterans, and Military Affairs Committee on Monday, February 10:
House Bill 1151, sponsored by state Representatives Chris Holbert (R-44) and Lori Saine (R-63), would repeal the radical legislation passed last year which limits magazine capacity to fifteen rounds. HB 1151 will be heard in the Old Supreme Court Chambers at 1:30 p.m.
Three important pro-gun bills will be heard in the Senate State, Veterans, and Military Affairs Committee next week:
On Monday, February 10, Senate Bill 38, sponsored by state Senator Scott Renfroe (R-13), is scheduled for a hearing. SB 38 is important emergency powers legislation which would prevent the Governor from suspending the distribution of firearms during a declared state of emergency. SB 38 will be heard in Senate Committee Room 353 at 1:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, February 12, Senate Bill 100, sponsored by state Senators Randy Baumgardner (R-8) and Bernie Herpin (R-11), is scheduled for a hearing. SB 100 is the Senate companion to HB 1151 and would repeal the radical legislation passed last year which limits magazine capacity to fifteen rounds, restricting your ability to protect yourself. SB 100 will be heard in Senate Committee Room 353 at 1:30 p.m.
On Friday, February 14, Senate Bill 90, sponsored by state Senator Randy Baumgardner (R-8), is scheduled for a hearing. SB 90 eliminates the requirement for step-relatives to submit to a background check during the legal transfer of a firearm. SB 90 will be heard in Senate Committee Room 353 at 1:30 p.m.
As gun owners, sportsmen and supporters of the Second Amendment, we need you to show up in Denver on the dates and times listed above to support and speak in favor of these bills. Without your active support, anti-gun state legislators will continue to trample on your Second Amendment rights like they did last session! If you are unable to attend these important public hearings, it is imperative that you contact members of these committees TODAY and express your SUPPORT for these bills. Hold these legislators accountable by asking how they plan to vote on this legislation.
