Today, House Bill 122 passed the Missouri House of Representatives by a 112-34 vote. HB 122 now moves to the Missouri State Senate where it awaits committee assignment. Thank you to those who have contacted their lawmakers in support of this important pro-gun bill!
HB 122, sponsored by state Representative Joe Don McGaugh (R-39), specifies that an individual who is occupying private property under the authority of the property owner will be permitted to use deadly force in certain situations. This bill would expand and update the castle doctrine statute in the state of Missouri.
