California: Two Firearm-Related Bills Expected to be heard on Monday, May 4

ACTION IS NEEDED! 

Anti-gun bill, SB 347, and pro-gun bill, AB 499, are expected to be heard on Monday, May 4.  Action is needed!    Please contact the members of the Senate Committee on Appropriations urging them to OPPOSE SB 347 AND contact your state Assembly Member urging him or her to SUPPORT AB 499.   

A description of each of the bills can be found below:

Anti-gun Senate Bill 347 has been scheduled to be heard in the Senate Committee on Appropriations on Monday, May 4 at 10 a.m. in State Capitol room 4203.  SB 347 would add to the list of misdemeanors convictions that would result in a 10-year prohibition on the possession of firearms.  Please contact the members of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and respectfully urge him or her to OPPOSE SB 347.  Contact information can be found here

NRA-supported Assembly Bill 499 has been scheduled to be heard on the Assembly Floor on Monday, May 4.  AB 499 would authorize a person with a valid license to carry a firearm capable of being concealed on the person, consistent with the terms of that license, while engaged in the taking of deer with bow and arrow.  Please contact and respectfully urge him or her to SUPPORT AB 499.  Contact information can be found here
