Missouri: Self-Defense Legislation Moves to House Floor for Consideration

Pro-gun bill, House Bill 1468, has been placed on the House calendar for consideration and could be brought up for a vote at any time. It is important that you contact your state Representative and politely urge them to support House Bill 1468 when it comes up for a vote.

House Bill 1468, sponsored by state Representative Eric Burlison (R-133), would allow all law-abiding individuals to carry a concealed firearm anywhere that isn't expressly prohibited by law.  HB 1468 would also recognize your right to legally carry a concealed firearm without having to obtain a permit, allowing law-abiding gun owners the ability to better protect themselves and their families.

Again, it is important that you click the “Take Action” button above to contact your state Representative and politely urge them to support House Bill 1468 when it comes up for a vote.

Additionally, House Bill 1586 received a public hearing in the House Committee on Emerging Issues.  Sponsored by state Representative Justin Hill (R-108), HB 1586 would allow law-abiding gun owners to transport or store their firearms in locked, privately-owned motor vehicles in any parking lot, parking garage, or other designated parking area.  You NRA-ILA will continue to keep you updated with more information as this legislation progresses.
