South Dakota: Important Self-Defense Legislation Scheduled for a Hearing in Senate Committee

Tomorrow, the South Dakota Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to consider important self-defense legislation, Senate Bill 87.  Please contact members of the committee and politely urge them to support SB 87.

Senate Bill 87 would allow law-abiding individuals to carry a firearm for self-defense in any building, structure, park, campus, or other area if those locations choose not to provide adequate security.  Places that seek to prohibit the lawful carry of a firearm would need to provide security screening precautions, including the presence of metal detectors.

Again, please contact members of the Senate Judiciary Committee and urge them to SUPPORT Senate Bill 87 when it comes up for a vote.
