Wisconsin: Anti-Gun Legislators Attempting to Hijack School Safety Bill

Anti-gun legislators in the Wisconsin state Assembly are currently attempting to hijack Assembly Bill 1031 with Assembly Substitute Amendment 1 intended to further delay law-abiding citizens from exercising their Second Amendment rights.  Please contact your state Assembly member and urge them to vote NO on ASA 1 to AB 1031.  Click the “Take Action” below to contact your state Assembly member.

Assembly Substitute Amendment 1 to AB 1031 would add long gun sales to the current handgun hotline system.  The handgun hotline is a redundant, additional process on top of the federal NICS check that is already conducted that only serves to arbitrarily delay sales.  Adding long guns to the handgun hotline system will only delay law-abiding citizens from exercising their Second Amendment rights while doing nothing to address criminals who trade and carry firearms illegally.

Again, please contact your state Assembly member and urge them to vote NO on ASA 1 to AB 1031.  Click here to find your Assembly member.
