Delaware: Magazine Ban Legislation to be Heard Today in House Committee

Tomorrow, the Delaware House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to consider Magazine Ban legislation, House Bill 375.  Please immediately contact committee members and strongly urge them to OPPOSE House Bill 375.

House Bill 375 would ban the manufacture, sale, purchase, transfer, or delivery of so-called “large-capacity magazines.”  What the bill really intends to ban are standard capacity magazines with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds of ammunition.  The legislation even acknowledges that “thousands of law-abiding Delawareans currently possess” such magazines, and will allow them to use them at the range but not in public for self-defense.  Since this legislation, like all other gun control bills, will be disregarded by criminals, House Bill 375 is literally drafted with the express intent to restrict law-abiding Delawareans from being able to use the most effective means to defend themselves.

Again, it is extremely important that you contact members of the House Judiciary Committee and strongly urge them to OPPOSE House Bill 375.
