Maryland: Gun Control Bills Scheduled for Committee Hearings in Both Chambers

Maryland: Gun Control Bills Scheduled for Committee Hearings in Both Chambers

Multiple General Assembly committees are scheduled to consider anti-gun bills tomorrow, January 15.  Each of these bills are unnecessary backdoor attempts to create further prohibitions on your Second Amendment rights.  These measures will do nothing to prevent crime in Maryland, and committee members need to hear from you now!

Please click the below “Take Action” button to contact committee members and ask them to stand with gun owners by OPPOSING House Bill 4, House Bill 39, and Senate Bill 55!  The button will direct you to multiple committee actions; be sure to click through them all.

House Judiciary Committee:

House Bill 4 would ban many sales and transfers of rifles or shotguns in Maryland between private individuals without first paying fees and obtaining government permission.  Firearm sales between friends, neighbors, or fellow hunters, would not be exempted.  This proposal would have no impact on crime and is completely unenforceable.

Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee:

Senate Bill 39 would add the Anderson Manufacturing .223 Caliber AM-15 and .300 Caliber AM-15 to Maryland’s list of regulated firearms.

Senate Budget and Taxation Committee:

Senate Bill 55 allows tax-payer dollars to fund gun buyback programs in Maryland.  These turn-in events serve as nothing more than propaganda for gun control advocates while failing to promote public safety in any measurable way.

Again, please click the above “Take Action” button to contact committee members in opposition to House Bill 4, House Bill 39, and Senate Bill 55.  The website will redirect you after each action, so be sure to click through each of the campaigns!
