Idaho: Senate Committee Hearing for School Safety Legislation Extended to Friday

Yesterday, the Senate State Affairs Committee ran out of time before being able to consider Senate Bill 1384, legislation that allows school employees with an enhanced CWL to possess and carry a firearm on school property. The committee has now scheduled to consider the school safety legislation on Friday, at 8:00am in Capitol Building Room WW55 in the west wing of the basement level. Please contact members of the Senate State Affairs Committee and urge them to SUPPORT Senate Bill 1384.

Senate Bill 1384 authorizes current school employees with a valid CWL to possess and carry a firearm while on school property. So-called “gun-free zones” disarm law-abiding citizens leaving them defenseless against criminals who ignore arbitrary boundaries.
