Texas: HB 1927 Constitutional Carry Still in Conference Committee: Take Action Now!

Texas Legislature Adjourns on May 31st

With twelve days left in session, House and Senate conferees have not issued a conference report resolving their differences on House Bill 1927 for their respective legislative chambers to take a final vote on.  This is the time when massive horsetrading is taking place and bills like HB 1927 become leverage to break logjams on other unrelated legislation.  Now more than ever, you need to make your voices heard so that HB 1927 doesn't get left behind!

The message to ALL state lawmakers on HB 1927 needs to be this: Coming close doesn't count.  Pass HB 1927 INTO LAW this session.

Contact Governor Greg Abbott, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick and House Speaker Dade Phelan with that message.

Contact the House and Senate members of the Conference Committee on HB 1927 with that message:

Rep. Matt Schaefer
Rep. Dustin Burrows
Rep. James White
Rep. Terry Canales
Rep. Ryan Guillen

Sen. Charles Schwertner
Sen. Brian Birdwell
Sen. Bryan Hughes
Sen. Brandon Creighton
Sen. Donna Campbell

And finally, contact your own State Representative and State Senator with that message.  If you don't know who your state lawmakers are, visit: Texas House of Representatives : Find My Representative.  Individual House member contact information can be found on that same page and Senators' contact information can be found here: The Texas State Senate – Members of the Texas Senate.

Take Action TODAY to make sure HB 1927 passes and your rights are restored in Texas!
