Montana Legislature Adjourned Sine Die from the 2023 Session

The Montana legislature has adjourned from the 2023 session. Thanks to the hard work of Representative Ler, Governor Greg Gianforte has signed HB 356 into law, which ensures that taxpayers don't fund businesses that discriminate against the firearm industry. This bill is crucial in preventing anti-gun corporations, banks, and executives from imposing gun control through denying services to the firearm industry.

Additionally, NRA thanks Representative Seekins-Crowe and Senator Usher for their work on HB 674, which creates an optional enhanced carry permit that will be recognized by five additional states - Delaware, Minnesota, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Washington. This is fantastic news for Montanans who frequently travel or live near state borders and want the flexibility to carry for self-defense across state lines.

We appreciate the support of our legislators, and NRA members and Second Amendment supporters who contacted their lawmakers to help us achieve these victories. As always, stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for further updates on issues affecting our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage in Montana. We'll be returning to Helena for the 2025 session, ready to continue the fight for our rights.
