The Colorado General Assembly has adjourned sine die from the 2023 session and, unfortunately, Senate Bill 23-279 has been passed by the House and sent to the governor for his signature. This bill effectively bans custom-made firearms and uses misleading terminology such as "ghost gun" to push gun control measures.
This session Democrats in leadership leveraged their majority to pursue their agenda, despite the negative impact it will have on law-abiding gun owners in Colorado. The NRA will continue to monitor the situation and remain vigilant in defending our Second Amendment rights. The NRA is exploring all options to challenge these unconstitutional restrictions passed this session.
