On Monday, January 29th, NRA testified in opposition to SB 5963, which would require an individual who owns a firearm to obtain residential insurance as a homeowner or a renter.
The bill was scheduled for an executive session and potential vote in the Senate Law and Justice Committee on, January 30th, but was removed from the executive session calendar following the public hearing. Generally, bills must be voted out of their policy committee by today Wednesday, 1/31 to advance in the legislative session.
