The Passing of a U.S. Veteran and Frontlines Activist Leader, Steven King

Recently, NRA-ILA and many other groups and individuals within the Second Amendment community, were saddened to hear of the passing of U.S. Army Veteran and NRA-ILA Frontlines Activist Leader, Steven King, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. His service to our country continued well beyond his retirement from the military, where he served as a member of the Military Police for the U.S. Army. Steven volunteered as an NRA-ILA Frontlines Activist Leader for over six years and was also a proud NRA Golden Eagle.

As the Frontlines Activist Leader for Missouri, Steven had no limitations on where he wanted to spread the Second Amendment message. He often traveled throughout the entire Midwest to assist NRA-ILA in its grassroots efforts. Often riding his beloved motorcycle, when the Midwest weather would allow, he traveled beyond Missouri to Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Iowa, happily supporting the mission. He just simply enjoyed speaking with Americans regarding our Second Amendment rights. Through his efforts, many children learned why our Second Amendment rights are vital to the United States. His passion for encouraging future generations will truly be missed on the FrontLines.

NRA-ILA would like to thank Steven’s wife, Leslie, for allowing the NRA-ILA to share in the beautiful memories Steven brought to our team, members, and supporters. We understand how his efforts were possible with a wife who supported him in his special efforts to defend our Second Amendment rights.

Steven was the National Rifle Association and everything it means to be not only a member, but a citizen grateful for the rights bestowed upon us. We, along with many others, will miss him dearly.
