Utah: State Legislature Adjourned Sine Die

Last week, the Utah State Legislature adjourned sine die from its 2025 legislative session. We are happy to report that several anti-gun bills were successfully defeated this session, including Senate Bill 130, a 52-page omnibus gun control bill that would have severely restricted Second Amendment rights in Utah. Additionally, several pro-gun bills advanced from the legislature and are currently awaiting a signature from Governor Cox. Please stay tuned for additional updates on these bills as they are signed into law.

Thanks to the efforts of our supporters and the tireless work of our elected officials, Utah continues to be a state that upholds the Second Amendment and protects the rights of law-abiding gun owners. We are proud to have been part of this effort and are grateful to all those who stood with us to defend our fundamental freedoms.

As always, the NRA will remain vigilant in our efforts to defend the Second Amendment and protect the rights of gun owners across the country. NRA will be back in Salt Lake City for the 2026 session. We will continue to monitor legislative developments and work to ensure that our members’ voices are heard.

Please stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for further updates on issues affecting our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage in Utah.

Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to the cause of freedom.
