Grassroots Spotlight: IN Deer Turkey & Waterfowl Expo

The 27th Annual Indiana Deer, Turkey & Waterfowl Expo, held from February 21 to 23, 2025, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, was a key gathering for hunting enthusiasts. The NRA had a strong presence at this year’s event, with Grassroots Field Coordinator, David Conte, and local Frontlines Activist leaders, John Mascari and Kelly Myers, on-site to answer questions. On Saturday, NRA Board Member, Charlie Hiltunen, joined the expo to speak with members and prospective members about the association’s mission and future.

Beyond the NRA’s engagement, the expo featured a variety of educational seminars and hands-on activities, including tree stand safety demonstrations and interactive shooting experiences. This year was also a milestone for the event’s promoter, Renfro Productions, which celebrated its 70th anniversary of organizing outdoor expos. The Renfro family’s long-standing dedication to promoting hunting and outdoor traditions was evident in this well-organized and well attended event.
