Yesterday, House Bill 3075 and House Bill 3076 were scheduled for a vote in the House Judiciary Committee. During the work session, the Committee Chair announced that the vote on these bills would be delayed until today, April 3rd, or more likely, Monday, April 7th. Please contact members of the committee by using the TAKE ACTION button below and continue to urge them to OPPOSE these bills.
House Bill 3075 seeks to alter the permit provisions of Ballot Measure 114 before it is even enacted. Changes include increased application costs, waiting periods, and more gun control that the voters did not approve.
House Bill 3076, the gun dealer licensing bill, will impose significant restrictions and penalties on lawful and already highly regulated Federal Firearms License businesses, including 24-hour video surveillance for all FFLs including home-based FFLs, meaning around-the-clock government monitoring within one’s own home.
We can anticipate anti-gun members of the Legislature will continue their attacks on the Second Amendment. Please stay tuned to the NRA-ILA website and your inbox for future updates as the session progresses.
