On April 3rd, Senate Bill 167 was introduced and referred to the Committee on Licensing, Regulatory Reform, State and Federal Affairs. This legislation would allow school employees who are concealed carry license holders to lawfully possess a firearm on school grounds with permission from the school district. Additionally, the bill would waive the concealed carry license application and renewal fees for teachers, removing financial barriers for educators seeking to take responsibility for school safety.
