On Saturday, April 12th, the West Virginia Legislature adjourned sine die from the 2025 legislative session. This session two critical bills, HB 3342, the FIND Act, and HB 2067, improving firearm industry protections, received final passage from the legislature and have been sent to Governor Morrisey's desk for his consideration.
HB2067, The West Virginia Firearm Liability Clarification Act, provides liability protections for firearm industry members from third-party misuse of products they manufacture or sell.
HB3342, The Firearm Industry Nondiscrimination Act, prohibits public entities from entering into contracts with businesses unless they certify that they do not discriminate against firearm businesses. Anti-gun corporations, banks, and their executives have expressed interest in denying services to the firearm industry as a way to further their political agenda and impose gun control. This bill will ensure that West Virginia taxpayers are not funding businesses that discriminate against the firearm industry. For more information, click here.
NRA thanks the efforts of pro-gun legislators in West Virginia, who continue to pass legislation providing additional protections for our Second Amendment rights. Please stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your inbox for further updates.
