Tomorrow, the Assembly Ways & Means Committee is scheduled to hear Assembly Bill 105, legislation that creates arbitrary “gun-free zones” around polling places. Please use the Take Action button below to contact members of the committee and urge them to oppose AB 105!
AB 105 bans the possession of firearms within 100 feet of polling places—regardless of whether the individual has any intent to interfere with the election process. This sweeping restriction infringes on the rights of law-abiding citizens and fails to include reasonable exemptions for carry permit holders simply exercising their rights.
Second Amendment rights don’t end at government-drawn lines. Law-abiding Nevadans should not be treated as criminals for merely being in proximity to a polling place while carrying legally owned firearms.
Stay tuned to the NRA-ILA website for further updates as the legislative session progresses.
