On Tuesday, January 13th, the Senate passed Senate Bill 204, concurring with House amendments to include stronger firearms preemption language.
SB 204 was amended in the House during the 2025 legislative session to include language from Senate Bill 163, strengthening the state's preemption laws to expand standing and remedies for violating the state's preemption laws.
SB 204 will now be transmitted to Governor Brian Kemp's desk for his consideration.
