Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3rd at 2:30 PM, the Florida House Civil Justice & Claims Subcommittee is scheduled to hear House Bill 1551, legislation that would strengthen liability protections for lawful firearm manufacturers.
In addition, the Senate companion bill, Senate Bill 1748, is expected to be taken up soon in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

House Bill 1551/ Senate Bill 1748 would provide products liability protections for firearm manufacturers by clarifying that manufacturers may not be held liable for claims based on the absence or presence of certain design features, safety mechanisms, or technologies that are not required under federal law.
