Florida: Pro-Industry Legislation Advances Toward House Floor Vote

Today, the House Judiciary Committee favorably passed House Bill 1551 by a vote of 13-5, marking an important step forward for this pro-industry legislation. Having now cleared all House committees, HB 1551 is eligible for consideration by the full Florida House. Please use the Take Action button below to contact your State Representative and urge them to SUPPORT HB 1551.

HB 1551 provides needed product liability protections for firearm manufacturers by clarifying that they may not be held liable for claims based on the absence or presence of certain design features, safety mechanisms, or technologies that are not required under federal law.
