Last week, the Connecticut Judiciary Committee voted to advance HB5043 - A bill championed by Governor Ned Lamount aimed at banning so-called "convertible pistols".
HB5043 bans the future manufacture, sale and importation of many commonly-owned handguns in Connecticut and doing so would result in a Class D felony. It is already illegal to convert legal firearm into fully automatic. This legislation targets law-abiding manufacturers, dealers, and residents rather than individuals performing illegal modifications on otherwise basic platforms.
Connecticut NRA members and 2nd Amendment advocates are encouraged to contact their state representatives and urge them to vote "NO" on HB5043 by using the TAKE ACTION button below.
