Today and Thursday are the last legislative days of the Georgia General Assembly, with Thursday marking the final opportunity for a bill to pass this session.
The House has a final opportunity to act on SB 499, critical legislation that ensures future changes in Federal law do not prevent law-abiding Georgians from possessing and using suppressors to protect their hearing while hunting or exercising their Second Amendment rights. Please use the Take Action button below to contact your State Representative and urge them to SUPPORT SB 499.
SB 499 would remove firearm suppressors from the list of dangerous weapons, while keeping suppressors subject to strict federal regulation under the National Firearms Act and leaving enhanced criminal penalties for unlawful possession and use unchanged.
It is urgent that the House acts fast to allow a concurrence vote in the Senate before the close of session on Thursday.
