Tomorrow, the House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice will hear House Bill 586, a “one-size-fits-all” firearm storage mandate. Please use the Take Action button below to contact members of the committee and urge them to OPPOSE HB 586.

HB 586 would impose broad firearm storage requirements on law-abiding gun owners, creating criminal liability for failing to store firearms in a prescribed manner. This legislation mandates a one-size-fits-all approach that does not account for individual circumstances, potentially exposing an otherwise law-abiding gun owners to criminal liability.
