Jacksonville, Fla., residents J.B. and Opal Evans were asleep in their pickup camper parked in front of relatives' Huntington, W. Va., house, when suddenly the engine started up and the truck began moving. J.B. grabbed his .32 revolver and shouted to the man behind the wheel to stop. When the man refused, Evans fired once, and the trucknapper jumped from the cab and ran off. The truck rolled to a safe stop.
