If the Manitou City Council elects to override a new state law reaffirming the rights of all Coloradans to arm themselves, and the citizens of Manitou choose to lie down for it, that’s their prerogative. But banning the carrying of firearms in city limits because it might scare away tourists is one of lamest gun control rationales we’ve ever heard — and we’ve heard plenty.
