Oregon Senator Attempts To Restrict Handgun Licensees

Gun control extremist Sen. Ginny Burdick (D-Portland) has introduced SB 335, a bill that would allow local school districts to gut the state firearms preemption law and ban the possession of all firearms carried by Concealed Handgun Licensees for any reason on school property or where any school-sponsored event is taking place. At press time, indications were that the Senate Judiciary Committee could hold a public hearing on SB 335 in Multnomah County early next week. Please continue to check http://www.nraila.org over the weekend for information as to the specific date, time and location of this hearing. SB 335 is just the first in a series of gun control bills that Sen. Burdick is expected to submit in the immediate future, including a state version of the federal gun ban that expired last September.
