Gun-ban extremists in the General Assembly are expected to start their big push to ban countless semi-automatic handguns, rifles, and shotguns, as well as .50 cal. rifles and ammunition this coming week.
The two bills, House Bill 873, introduced by Representative Edward Acevedo (D-2), and Senate Bill 16, introduced by Senator Emil Jones (D-14), but the Chief Sponsor has changed to Senator Antonio Munoz (D-1), will likely face easy passage through their hand-picked committees, and could see action in their respective chamber floors as early as next week.
It is critical that you call your State Representative and State Senator and urge them to OPPOSE these Cook County/Chicago-inspired gun bans that are being promoted by Chicago Mayor Richard Daley (D), Governor Rod Blagojevich (D), and anti-gun extremists across the country.
