Hunting is one of several priority uses of the Catahoula National Wildlife Refuge that is addressed in a conservation plan that has been made available for public comment by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
The refuge is located in east-central LaSalle Parish, and west-central Catahoula Parish, LA. To ensure that our nation's wildlife refuges remain open to hunting, it is important for the hunting community, particularly those who hunt on wildlife refuges, to submit comments for the public record. You can be assured that the anti-hunters will submit comments.
Comments will be accepted until Friday,May 21 and should be sent to: Central Louisiana National Wildlife Refuge Complex, 401 Island Road, Marksville, LA 71351.
