On Wednesday, October 24 the Assembly Committee on Natural Resources held a public hearing to discuss Assembly Bill 401. Introduced by State Representative Ann Hraychuck (D-28), AB 401 would eliminate the requirement to wait 3 days before hunting after obtaining a bow hunting license. Several proponents spoke in favor of the bill, including the Department of Natural Resources.
Senate Bill 198, the companion to AB 401, sponsored by State Senator Mark Miller (D-16), passed the Senate Committee on Environment and Natural Resources and is now en route to the Senate for consideration.
