Proposals such as HB1043 have been approved by overwhelmingly bipartisan majorities in the U.S. Congress, as well as in 22 states. However, with 2008 being a short legislative session in Indiana, time is running short for this measure to be heard in committee.
HB1043 has yet to be scheduled for a committee hearing.
Please contact your State Representative at (317) 232-9600 and strongly urge him or her to protect your right to defend yourself and your loved ones by requesting the House leadership to place HB1043 on the committee calendar!
