Idaho: State Representative Judy Boyle Receives NRA-ILA Defender of Freedom Award

Today, state Representative Judy Boyle (R-9) received the Defender of Freedom Award from the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action in recognition of her tireless efforts to defend liberty and protect the interests of law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen in Idaho.

During her tenure in the Idaho Legislature, Judy Boyle has been a proven and consistent advocate of your Right to Keep and Bear Arms and has fought to protect Idaho's rich firearms heritage.  Representative Boyle was the primary sponsor and vocal advocate for some significant firearm-related bills in the Idaho Legislature over the past several years.  Representative Boyle began her tenure in the Idaho state legislature by supporting the “Idaho Sport Shooting Immunities Act (IDSSIA),” which limited the liability of shooting range operators from frivolous lawsuits.  More recently, she supported the Constitutional Amendment for the Right to Hunt and Fish and stood firm in protecting the Second Amendment rights of Idahoans from burdensome federal firearms legislation.  Representative Boyle also sponsored legislation, which took effect in 2014, to respect the right of law-abiding gun owners who obtain an Idaho enhanced license to carry a concealed weapon to possess a concealed firearm on public college or university campuses.

Representing the 9th district of Idaho in the state legislature since 2008, Representative Boyle has earned an “A+” rating from NRA-PVF.  As a recipient of the NRA-ILA Defender of Freedom Award, Representative Judy Boyle joins an esteemed list of individuals who have gone "above and beyond" in the fight to defend the Second Amendment.

Please join us in congratulating state Representative Judy Boyle for receiving NRA-ILA's Defender of Freedom Award.
