Wyoming: Repeal Gun Free Zones Act Legislation Passes House

Today, House Bill 114, introduced by Representative Allen Jaggi (R-19), passed in the Wyoming House of Representatives, without amendment, by an overwhelming 42-17 vote.  HB 114 would eliminate specific “gun free zones” in Wyoming, respecting the right of law-abiding concealed carry permit holders to lawfully carry in any meeting of a government entity, any public K-12 school and on the campus of any public college or university.

“Gun free zones” only disarm law-abiding citizens and serve as an egregious infringement of an individual’s Second Amendment rights.  The House’s passage of HB 114 is a victory for gun owners in Wyoming and the first step towards restoring your fundamental right to self-defense, regardless of your location.

Please contact your state Representative and thank him or her for their willingness to protect your Second Amendment rights.  Also, please stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for further updates about the status of HB 114 as the 2015 legislative session progresses.
