Message from Glenn Beck

Dear NRA Members,

My audience knows that I have recently become concerned about alleged links of a member of the board of the National Rifle Association to Islamist groups that have ill intent towards the United States and its allies.

Many of you have inundated the NRA with calls and emails mirroring my concerns. Most organizations would wilt under that kind of pressure, but the NRA is not most organizations. They’re the best. They immediately reached out to have an honest conversation with me. Wayne LaPierre the Executive Vice President and the CEO and I go back a long way and we have always been straight with one another.

Wayne assured me and asked me to convey to you, that he and the NRA are taking this very seriously. They are beginning an open and transparent investigation into these alleged ties and relationships and will provide the results to me, my audience and NRA Members.

The reality is that this issue is in your hands. The members of the NRA elect the Board – they are your representatives. I look forward to seeing the results of these elections.

What I explained to Wayne is that my issue is not with the NRA. The NRA is the only organization other than my church I belong to. I greatly appreciate the way they fiercely protect the 2nd Amendment at all costs. So I am not at all upset with them, I am really just concerned for them. I share and will always share their belief in America’s right to bear arms. I will never waiver on that front. I am proud to be counted among the ranks of loyal NRA members.
