On Wednesday, June 20th, the Kirkland City Council will be holding a town hall meeting to discuss Second Amendment and gun-related issues. According to the City of Kirkland, agenda topics include enforcement of existing firearm laws, firearm safety education, mental health, and supporting state legislation regarding firearms. The City Council is portraying this meeting as an opportunity for community discussion; however, the outcome of the town hall will likely be used to take action on gun control at the local level, as well as to advocate for additional Second Amendment restrictions in the State Legislature.
Please make plans to attend this important town meeting to weigh in on these topics and to voice your opposition to any proposals that would restrict Second Amendments rights!
